1. CONCEPT

The concept stage is where the project is defined. This is achieved by building a project plan and a document that outlines the goals, requirements, and scope of the project. It is only once the concept stage of the project is fully understood a project plan can be developed.

2. DISCOVERY

The discovery stage largely involves research into the competitive landscape, users needs and goals, etc. Various elements of the web site outlined in the concept phase amended based on the results of this stage.

3. CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Content development begins with building the information architecture of the site. Content is added into a simple wire-frame outlines to determine functionality and usability.

4. DESIGN

Once the content, functionality, and flow of information has been determined using wire-frame outline, work begins on the visual design of the website. This may take several iterations using static photoshop mock-ups. Once the the actual visual design is done and approved, development can begin.

5. SITE DEVELOPMENT

The site development stage involves building the site template structure and then coding all the pages. It’s not uncommon for some design tweaks to happen during this stage. We perform several reviews and usability testing prior to launch.

6. LAUNCH

Once the site is launched, we do a complete link check and also check that any applications are working. We then do a final review with the client before getting final approval.
